Witch Hunt is an unsettling book and, to me, quite unusual. It's a classic police procedural story but with clear, vivid characters that rise right out from the pages. I found myself thinking about the characters and the story in-between reading. This is a good thing as it obviously made a connection with my psyché.
The story centers around a killer who terrorises London and the police officers who work out of New Scotland Yard. Detective O'Malley leads the case. Will her team prevail?
The only thing that spoiled this book slightly for me is that it is written in the present tense as if it is happening right now as it is being read. This unsettled me somewhat as I am used to a different style of writing. However, Witch Hunt is captivating and gripping and very real.
